Lebanon Multimedia Directory

The National News Agency was founded in Beirut on August 7, 1961.

The NNA, mainly established to be a key information tool and an official news source for the public authorities as well as for the public and private media institutions, had nowadays become the sole and mere institutions endowed with 28 offices all over the Lebanese territories.
The NNA audience, estimated at nearly 20 million website browsers per month, gets the chance to benefit from a spectrum of online services, i.e. the voice bulletin (Arabic, French, and English), the WAP service, the free archive , the RSS & Application Mobile services, the news items categorization, and the photo service. The NNA also prepares short and full news bulletins for Radio Lebanon and publishes news items in three languages (Arabic, French, and English).

Besides, the NNA takes part in several Arab and international conferences whereby it is deemed an efficient member at the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA), the Arab Electronic Media Committee, and the Middle East News Agencies Federation. Also, it concluded a number of agreements aiming at exchanging news items with other Arab and international Agencies.

It is to note that the NNA had won the press award by the Alliance of Mediterranean News Agencies (AMAN) last June in Marseille, France.
