I know i've done my job when some one says "WOW she looks amazing!" not her make up look amazing. The personality... the individual.... shows through.
As a makeup artist, i've come face to face with some of the most genetically blessed women. Models and actresses with amazing skin.
But after they sit in front of me for an hour or so, they begin to reveal themselves as more than just a face and i not only see what's on their eyes [shadow, liner ... whatever] i can see what's in their eyes [hope, hurt, happiness]. That's when i find them to be their most beautiful.
Beauty is a fascinating business, It's both sensual and scientific --- mixing color and texture with technology. It's also very personal.
