Modern Electric Supplies was born in 1967 after extensive market studies and a fruitful visit to the USA in which I established contacts, visited many companies & started importing the high end built-in appliances. I returned home to establish the showroom & offices of my company on its present location; that is in a commercial district & boulevard. The premises occupied 100 square meters, which is the ground floor of a modern building. I also acquired a warehouse & a maintenance workshop that count some 2500 square meters.
First we became exclusive agents for big companies like:
ROPER SALES CORP. (Kankakee, Illinois): Built-in & Free Standing ovens, microwaves, cook-tops, dishwashers, refrigerators ..
ROPER has been sold for many years now but till today we are still providing our Roper customers with after sales maintenance & services and parts.
NUTONE: Built-in home products like chimes, ranges, hoods, central vacuum cleaning systems, food centers..
And since then we have been following up changes in consumer tastes and technological innovations. And thus, we have wooed a vast number of customers with quality products designed and built to match the user's real and diverse needs. All this was matched by qualified sales and after sales services and maintenance organized for the customer's maximum convenience.
After a few years we expanded and became the agents of SUB-ZERO Freezer Company and started importing their high quality built-in refrigerators & freezers. We still do. In 1976 the civil war broke in Lebanon & it continued till 1991. The showroom, offices & warehouses of Modern Electric Supplies didn't escape & were damaged but we never stopped working. We fixed what was damaged, threw what was irreplaceable & we continued working as much as possible & we never stopped paying our employees. After the end of the war we grew & expanded. Our showroom & offices are still at the same location but expanded to 350 square meters since we now occupy the ground & first floor. And our warehouses count today some 6000 square meters & our maintenance workshop some 350 square meters.
Through all those years we continued following up consumer's needs. Our customers are increasingly choosing up to date & high end products and in order to provide them with the very best as always we became the agents of many American & European brands like:
